Enzyme Hydrolysis
Ma-Con has extensive know-how and practical experience within the areas of raw materials, process and application, in the meat and fish industry.
By-Products from the meat and fish processing industries derivied from e.g. beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, fish, whole fisk and krill can be utilized as raw materials, for the production of high value protein concentrate or protein powder with excellent functional properties, as well as fat/oil of high quality.
Ma-Con is working with one of the processes to upgrade by-products from the meat and fish industry into high value products; enzyme hydrolysis.
The hydrolyzed protein can be used for food ingredients, flavourer ingredients, biopharmaceutical ingredients, and for feed ingredients. Hydrolyzed protein concentrate or powder ensures an easy and flexible use in numerous applications.
The condition for a better utilisation of by-products from the meat industry relates to economy, logistic, production technology and the quality of the by-products.
The technology currently used for enzymatic hydrolysis of meat by-products, has improved considerably during the last few years, making the process a lot more efficient.
The capital expenditure and complexity of the process depends on the following:
-
Capacity
-
Raw materials
-
End product.
Ma-Con is offering
